Miyamoto comments on digital distribution
“Personally, I’m one of those guys who, even if I have all the songs from iTunes, I want the CD as well. I feel more reassured with that physical media. Entertainment is something that will not just become digital. If I look at Wii MotionPlus, this is something that you’re not doing via digital distribution. The thing for us is we really don’t see the future of video games being merely confined to digital distribution or moving solely or even to a majority of our products being distributed that way.”

Iwata Q&A Transcript
Lots of info here:
-Wii Sports Resort was due to ship earlier, but was held back in order to create enough MotionPlus units
-Wii Fit Plus/New Super Mario Bros. Wii are moving on schedule “We have absolutely no worry that they will not be released as scheduled.”
-Iwata believes that Wii Sports Resort/Wii Fit Plus/New Super Mario Bros. Wii could all sell 10 million units before March 2010
-”We’d like to work so that people say ‘This was the best Christmas in Nintendo history.’”
-Iwata disappointed with Wii Music and Animal Crossing: City Folk sales. “Last year, Wii Music and Animal Crossing City Folk did not reach our expectations. If we had made them into long sellers, the effects of the lack of software in the first half of the year would have been lowered. However, their sales slowed in a relatively short term.”
-No price cut “At present, we’re not thinking of doing anything with the price.”
